Analysis: Starting in 2023, a well-known refrigerator manufacturer imposed a mandatory standard on its aluminum foil heater suppliers—requiring the heat-fusion layer of the heaters to withstand 100°C for 96 hours. The core requirement was to prevent the PVC heating wires from detaching from the aluminum foil surface at high temperatures. Detachment could potentially cause short circuits, equipment malfunctions, or even electric shocks.
However, standard industry-standard heat-fusion layers can only withstand approximately 60°C, failing to guarantee stable adhesion of the PVC heating wires to the aluminum foil at higher temperatures, thus posing a safety hazard.
Solution and Value: In collaboration with an adhesive manufacturer, we custom-developed a specialized heat-sealing adhesive and launched a heat-sealing aluminum foil tape compatible with high temperatures. This achieved the following:
- Being the first domestic supplier to overcome this technological hurdle in the industry;
- Providing a product with high temperature and humidity resistance, and water-boiling resistance (its excellent water resistance is also used in toilet seat heaters), meeting the requirement of long-term temperature resistance at 100℃ for 96 hours, fundamentally avoiding the risk of PVC heating wires detaching under high-temperature conditions;
- Helping the client avoid safety hazards, ensuring the safety of end-product use, and strengthening the product's reputation for reliability;
- Meeting the company's mandatory safety standards in its supply chain, consolidating our core cooperative position within its supplier system;
- The product's multi-scenario adaptability (such as toilet seat heaters and pet bed heaters) simultaneously opened up new business growth points for us.
