On October 22, 2026, Carrier Global Corporation announced plans to invest more than $600 million over three years in a new manufacturing and engineering center in Fort Worth, Texas.
The site will exceed one million square feet, is expected to begin operations in 2027, and is projected to create approximately 1,500 jobs. It will expand U.S. production capacity for air- and water-cooled commercial chillers serving data centers, healthcare, education and industrial markets.
Carrier cited record commercial HVAC backlog levels as a driver of the investment. For HVAC buyers and component suppliers, the development highlights growing investment in North American cooling equipment capacity. It does not, by itself, establish purchasing volumes or sourcing decisions for insulation and sealing materials.
For compatible foil-faced insulation joints, the choice between pure aluminum foil, film-laminated foil and lined or linerless tape constructions depends on facing materials and installation methods. Fiberglass-, FSK- and SS-reinforced foil tapes may be considered when mechanical strength or tear resistance is important. Buyers should validate adhesive compatibility, service temperature, humidity exposure, application process and any project-specific requirements before approving a material.
Jiangsu Shixin Adhesive Tape Product Co., Ltd. (Shixin Tape) has manufacturing experience dating back to 2005. Its portfolio includes multiple aluminum foil tape constructions, heat seal aluminum foil tapes, PET fixing tapes, MOPP fixing tapes, foam tapes and PE protective films. These products serve different insulation, refrigeration manufacturing, industrial fixing and surface-protection needs; suitability depends on the actual application.
Shixin Tape can assist OEMs, insulation converters and distributors with tape construction selection, substrate compatibility, custom converting and sample evaluation.
